Applications Pending: Molded Modular Cable Dunnage System
The client came with a request to reduce the significant costs associated with returning the empty steel cable reels used in the shipment of finished product. The client wanted something that mimicked the returnable dunnage solution that has been adopted by other industries. Their request was something that would hold up to the abuse of being dragged behind a telephone truck, but would collapsible and would be easy to ship back in bulk. The design project resulted in a patentable solution for a collapsing reel assembly.
